Shri. Dileepkumar Thankappan, internationally known as "Guru Dileepji" (Spiritual Name) and otherwise known as " Guruji " is a world-renowned Yogi from Kerala, India. He is the Founder, CEO, and the Global Chairman of the World Yoga Community. He is a humanitarian, spiritual guru, yoga teacher's trainer, interfaith minister, musician, artist, monk, martial artist, bhajan singer, dancer, sportsman, writer, photographer, motivational speaker, farmer, and an organizer for numerous international conferences, yogasana competitions, events, & festivals and much more. He is closely working with non-profit organizations including international NGOs affiliated with the United Nations. He is the founder and Secretary-General of the Global Yogasana Sports Council. He is the founder of the Global Movement for Yoga Day and conducting World Yoga Festivals since 1993. He is an NGO Representative, Secretary of the Committee of Religious NGOs, and the Vice President of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council - SALUS Well-Being Network (UNSRC-Salus Club) at the United Nations. Since 1999, he is holding an active role with the international community at the United Nations in New York City.

Our Vision

World Yoga Community, Inc. (WYC) is a Not-for-Profit charitable organization in the USA as well as a charitable trust in India and is currently under the registration process in Argentina. WYC is an NGO Associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications an NGO Accredited to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) with Special Consultative Status since 2021. 


The mission of the WYC is to promote a yogic lifestyle globally without any discrimination. WYC's vision is establishing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations through its activities such as Yoga classes, workshops, seminars, conferences, satsangs, summits, and festivals. Due to Covid19, WYC is conducting all activities on social media and working with individuals & organizations including NGOs from the United Nations. 

Yoga is Universal teaching to unite individual consciousness with universal consciousness. WYC’s mission is to embrace and live under the unitary principle of Vasudeva Kutumbakam (“Universal Family”) through practical Spirituality as well as through philosophy. Using the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations as a guiding principle, we strive to promote physical, mental, and spiritual wellness by encouraging the adoption of exercise and meditation. WYC is committed to propagating sustainable healthy living, global culture of peace and harmony, gender equality, in addition to the well-being of humans, animals, plants, and the environment.
